GEN Eisenhower visits with 101st Airborne Division
This project is about to be launched in a few weeks in conjunction with the 65th anniversary of the Allied victory in Europe during WWII. We are very excited. As far as we can tell, this is the only color painting of the famous WWII black and white photograph of General Eisenhower visiting the 101st Airborne Division on the eve of the Normandy invasion in June 1944.
The project will be focused on raising money to support veterans and veteran’s memorials. We are currently in discussion with a number of worthy groups and intend to partner with some key organizations, museums, and memorials to honor the service of our veterans. Funding the effort will begin with the sale of color prints of this painting of the famous photograph that is featured on the cover of the book, Victory Principles. This photo is one of th most famous of WWII photographs and speaks to the courage of the troops and the concern that the Supreme Commander had for their welfare. It is also emblematic of the service rendered by all veterans. A sneak peek of the color painting is posted below.
